- The Chamber has low-cost advertising opportunities through its
newsletter and website.
- HACC Members have the opportunity to receive discounts from other
member companies.
- Members get access to free business referrals through Chamber
inquiries.
- The HACC provides several networking opportunities, such as our
regular business card exchanges, which can provide you new business.
- HAND, the Hanover Area Networking Division, meets twice a month to
foster business relationships among members and to encourage passing
business leads and referrals.
Past Achievements
Other things that the Hanover Area Chamber
has offered its members and the community!
- The Chamber has sponsored Town Forums allowing citizens and businesses
to pose questions to those who can effect change. Previous panelists have
included State Legislators, the Mayor, Police Chief, Superintendent of
Schools, First Aid Director and other Civic leaders.
- The Chamber has provided funding toward a police bicycle patrol.
- The Chamber has placed Welcome Signs at the entrances to the township.
- Through its Forum, the Chamber highlighted serious problems with First
Aid membership and potential school bus transportation. (Both problems
were resolved to the satisfaction of the citizens.)
- The Chamber was in the forefront opposing a new sign regulation in
East Hanover which would have cost businesses $100.00 per sign per year.
Our input with town leaders helped cancel the idea.
- The Chamber has worked with government contacts to restructure
requirements for Planning Board approval on all "Change of User Permits".
- The Chamber has decorated the East Hanover gazebo for holidays.
