These are stressful times, and you can depend upon your Chamber of Commerce to identify areas of need, and to strategize with you to find solutions that will aid strong and steady progress to recovery.
Key to this effort is the work of committees, subcommittees and task forces, involving representatives of member corporations, organizations, and the legislative community who serve voluntarily. We believe it is important for our diverse cultures to work closely together, and we will strongly encourage all cultures and communities to join with us, and actively participate in our efforts.
We have identified these key committees as critical concerns for our region and the State of New Jersey. As these committees are formed, we will post articles and updates.
An assembly of experts in various subject areas will form these committees, lending credibility and acceptance to policy and public issue positions. Most importantly, the committees will be part of a process to ensure that policymaking is a democratic endeavor. Everyone involved in the committee process will help develop positions that benefit the entire business community, rather than any given narrow interest.
The Chamber will make every effort to accommodate all members who wish to be heard. The process will be open and above board.
